Microbiome Engineering for Sustainable Biomanufacturing using Waste

Shrestha Lab, a part of the Department of Environmental Health and Engineering at Johns Hopkins University, focuses on developing anaerobic biotechnologies to produce bioenergy, biochemicals, and biomaterials from diverse biomass. We work at the interface of environmental and chemical engineering, microbiome engineering, and metabolic modeling to take a holistic approach to addressing some of the key environmental challenges we face today.
